Nine New Industrial Estates The Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) will develop nine new industrial estates across the state with an investment of ₹366 crore, expected to generate around 17,500 jobs. ₹2.5 Lakh Crore MSME Credit Plan Banks in Tamil Nadu are set to disburse ₹2.5 lakh crore in loans to 10 lakh MSMEs in 2025-26, reinforcing financial support for the sector, which already comprises over 32 lakh registered enterprises. Startup & Innovation Support The government continues to strengthen the startup ecosystem with a ₹20 crore Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Fund under TANSIM (Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission). Additionally, a ₹10 crore ‘Space Tech Fund’ has been announced to encourage space technology startups. Chennai will soon house a satellite testing and incubation facility to support entrepreneurs in the sector. Manufacturing & EV Growth With Tamil Nadu emerging as a leader in electronics and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, the state’s electronics exports are projected to surpass $12 billion in 2024-25.
