The interview was hosted by Naman Sarawagi, Founder at Refrens and Gautam Rajesh Shlley, Founder and CEO at AiSensy. Vijay Shekhar Sharma in the interview talked about the use of Whatsapp api by Paytm. He emphasized on the Whatsapp integration for making payments using Paytm. He added that the payments feature on Whatsapp has allowed to make payments easier for businesses using Paytm UPI. Also a huge number of businesses have made Paytm UPI as hir default payment method on WhatsApp. During this conversation Vijay states that Indian small businesses are tech savvies. He supported his statement with the example of street vendors using Paytm Sound Boxes for receiving payments and confirmation. Talking about Whatsapp Business api, he added that the small businesses are using WhatsApp Business api for broadcasting messages. This feature allows businesses to broadcast messages without saving the contacts, saving the business huge on time and labour. In regards to small businesses, Naman asks if the Whatsapp api features provided by AiSensy can be availed by small businesses for free. Gautam replied to this in agreement and stated that businesses can avail a 14 days free trial that allows businesses to gather enough data to decide if investing in this feature would be profitable or not.
