The interview revolved around the maths of building a profitable tech company. This interview was a part of Evolve’24 Delhi, an event by AiSensy, that took place in Pullman Hotel, Aerocity on October 4th, 2024. His session/interview was entitled as ‘Fireside Chat with Mukul Rustagi: The Maths of a Profitable Tech Company’ Classplus is a platform that allows educational institutions to make their own apps for their business growth and expansion. Rustagi, while explaining how tracking metrics is important for a business, gave an example of his brand. He talked about DAUs (Daily Active Users) and MAUs (Monthly Active Users) of Classplus. He explained that his team first analyzed the DAUs on their platform. The analysis gave insights on the number of users that are using their platform daily and also hinted towards the flaws//problems that can be removed for a higher number. He added that his team then did the same for MAUs for data on monthly intervals. He used these points to emphasize the importance of these metrics referring to data analysis and statistics to identify the scope of improvement and grow their business. He added that his team then found and implemented the solutions using Whatsapp api. This directly impacted on the increment in the numbers of DAUs and MAUs. To support his statement he quoted “Last year humne, number me nhi percentage me bata raha huu, mera business 10-15% se sidha 50% profitable hua…” This interview very well explained the importance of Maths in growing a brand. The fact that this comes from a successful startup founder, sets an example for all MSME business owners to analyze the numbers of their business for problem identification and solving.
