Indo-German Chamber Announces New MSME & Skill Development Partnerships in India November 29, 2025 MSME Sampark Msme News 0 The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) marked an important step toward supporting India’s MSME ecosystem at its 59th Annual Regional Meet, announcing new partnerships focused on MSME growth and skill development in the manufacturing sector. One of the major highlights of the event was the formal Letter of Intent (LoI) exchanged between IGCC and the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (AP MSMEDC). This collaboration aims to boost the MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh by creating opportunities for technology adoption, industry expansion, and deeper engagement with German companies looking to invest or operate in the state. New Skill Development Centre to Boost Manufacturing Talent The meet also witnessed the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between: Gedee Technical Training Institute (GTTI) Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) An IGCC-supported Section-8 organization This joint effort will establish a dedicated Skill Development Centre at MEPZ, Tambaram, Chennai. The centre aims to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in high-precision engineering and advanced manufacturing. MEPZ has allocated a 30,000 sq. ft. facility, which will include: CNC machining labs Simulation and testing units Training bays Workshop zones Training Programs in Two Phases The Skill Development Centre will offer training in two phases: Phase 1: Short-Term Skill Courses CNC machining CNC milling and lathe operations CNC programming ANSYS simulation Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) Phase 2: Advanced Long-Term Courses Longer programs will focus on high-precision manufacturing, developed with international certification standards to prepare students for global industry requirements. Benefit for Youth and MSME Sector This initiative will especially benefit young people in Tamil Nadu by offering hands-on, industry-ready training aligned with international skill benchmarks. The goal is to create a strong talent pipeline for MSMEs and large manufacturers, improving employability and strengthening India’s position in global value chains. The partnerships announced at the IGCC meet highlight a growing commitment to support MSME development, skill enhancement, and Indo-German industrial cooperation, opening new pathways for growth and innovation across the MSME sector.
