Kumar highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade, wages have risen by 213%, marking significant progress toward rural economic empowerment through the Khadi sector. To further boost this sector, a nationwide discount campaign is underway, offering a 20% discount on Khadi products and a 10% discount on Village Industries products. The discount period began today and will run until November 30. Kumar credited the transformation of spinners’ and weavers’ lives to Prime Minister Modi’s vision, noting that the “Khadi Revolution” has significantly boosted rural employment. He also reported that the Khadi sector surpassed ₹1.55 lakh crore in business last fiscal year, reinforcing its critical role in India’s rural economy.
